2 Ingredient Ketchup

Store bought ketchup can be full of sugar, high-fructose corn syrup, and many other unhealthy ingredients. We cut the harmful additives and created a two-ingredient ketchup recipe that’s as healthy as it is delicious. Try this with our baby bella mushroom burger or whatever you normally eat with ketchup.

Cookware and Equipment
  • Parchment paper

  • Sheet pan

  • Conventional or electric oven

  • Blender or immersion blender

Ingredients
  • 1 cup tomatoes (cut into ½ inch pieces)

    • Tomatoes in season work best but ‘on the vine’ variety are a good substitute

  • ½ cup clementine slices

How to Make Ketchup with 2 Ingredients
  1. Start with a piece of parchment paper that measures approximately 18” in length.

  2. Fold the paper in half so you have a rectangle in front of you with the long side parallel to the counter edge.

  3. Open the folded sheet and place the tomatoes and clementine slices in the center above the fold.

  4. Next, bring edges together so the sheet is folded in half. Starting at the left corner, crimp and fold.

  5. Preheat the oven to 375°

  6. Place parchment pouch on a sheet pan and roast in the oven for 20 minutes.

  7. Remove from the oven and puree mixture, using a blender or an immersion blender.

  8. Let cool and store in the refrigerator for up to 4 days.

This recipe can be easily doubled.
